2010 Chairman's Message

On behalf of this year’s Doodlebug Committee, I would like to invite you to the 2010 Doodlebug. This year there are some big changes in store for the Tournament. The Doodlebug Golf Committee values the input from the CSEG membership and their associated companies. For this reason there is a new location and date for the 2010 Doodlebug.

Kimberley Alpine Resort - September 9 – 11, 2010

The Doodlebug Golf Tournament is an event held each summer that provides a competitive golf venue for CSEG members of all levels and ability, from scratch golfers to true first-timers. Participants and their guests can choose from a full schedule of formal and informal social events throughout each day and on into the evenings. It is the social and networking aspect of this event that provides the basis for a great weekend amongst new and old friends of the Canadian Geophysical Industry.

Kimberley Alpine Resort is one of British Columbia’s premier resort destinations that offers Doodlebug participants access to this fantastic venue at a very reasonable cost. The golf courses are challenging, but extremely forgiving and each hole bears a different and distinctive view of the majestic Purcell Mountains.

This year’s charity is the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The CBCF is the leading national volunteer-based organization in Canada dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer. Established in 1986 by a group of volunteers, the Foundation works collaboratively to fund, support and advocate for;

-       Relevant and innovative research,

-       Meaningful education and awareness programs,

-       Early diagnosis and effective treatment, and

-       A positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.

The 2010 Doodlebug Committee is once again hard at work to make this tournament an enjoyable one for you and your family. All the best for 2010 and I look forward to seeing you in Kimberley.
